I recently had the joy of photographing an extended family session at Yates Mill County Park in Raleigh, NC. This location is such a gem with it's beautiful historic mill, rustic wooden bridges, and scenic walking trails—perfect for capturing meaningful family moments.

About the Session at Yates Mill
The whole family came together and we spent some time capturing both candid and posed moments. I love giving my clients prompts like 'run and give hugs' or 'tackle hugs' to create silly or cozy moments as a family. Yates Mill is a large park so I chose two locations to focus on and we moved throughout those areas for different looks.

Extended family sessions are a great way to celebrate the entire family and Yates Mill provided the perfect backdrop for this extended family photo session, with its mix of natural beauty and historic charm.
