NC Museum of Art


The grounds of the NC Museum of Art is a favorite location of mine because the grounds have so much to offer! They are constantly changing throughout the year — flowering plants come and go, trees blossom and then lose their leaves, and the beautiful bushes and grasses turn from green to golden.

Things to love


  1. Flowering plants: Throughout the year there's almost always something flowering. In the Spring you see beautiful pink buds. In the Summer you find wildflowers. In the Fall the sunflowers thrive!
  2. Architecture: There are beautiful art installations that can add to a dynamic photo session. Even the outside of the Museum building itself is beautiful with its glass windows and reflection pools.
  3. Easy access: I love that there are paved trails! This makes it so easy for all families to enjoy the grounds. Strollers, walkers, and wheelchairs are all welcome here. The parking lots are also large and I have never NOT found a spot to park. To top it off there are public bathrooms and pets are allowed!
